One of SOAF’s main ambitions is to promote networking and knowledge exchange within OR. As part of this ambition, SOAF supports special interest groups for people with a common OR interest. SOAF can assist the group with e.g. an e-mail list and (reasonable) re-reimbursement for travels, meeting space and refreshments (“fika”), and we can also communicate the interest group’s activities in our network.
Currently the only active special interest group is the railway and public transportation group, but SOAK is a great opportunity to start new groups! If you’re interested in starting a special interest group, please get in touch with ordforande@soaf.se, either before, during or after the conference. Or simply set up first meeting in connection to the conference!
